Elvaston Castle

A ghostly lady, moving as if sat in a rocking chair, has been observed in a window and a ghostly man and woman seen in the tea rooms where items go temporarily missing. Slamming doors and footsteps inside the castle and sightings of a lady in white accompanied by a white dog in the grounds have also been reported. This pair have then been seen to walk to the nearby churchyard, St Bartholomew's where a phantom horse and rider have also been witnessed.
