The crack of a whip, said to be from a Victorian coachman well versed in its use, has been heard in the stables; another spectre is that of a boy who was tasked with cleaning shoes and boots. He was sacked and lost his home but when the Bishop returned from a trip, he ordered a search for the youngster; sadly, the boy was found dead of exposure. His ghost is never seen but he is blamed for shoes disappearing.
