The Homestead

A child saw a "sinister looking man" that greatly alarmed him, although his family did not observe anyone. A grey lady has also been seen near the fireplace, and a man in a thick coat has been noted in a table near the bar. An anonymous report provided more details of the hauntings, describing (among other phenomena) the sound of dragging, beer taps being turned on by themselves and a dark figure in a bedroom and other events that forced the landlord and landlady to leave the premises. The cellar was sometimes flooded when the barrels were tapped, glasses and bottles moved by themselves and objects would disappear only to reappear later.
