In Barwise Ward, footsteps and bells ring from empty beds. There are also stories of patients that shouldn't be there, and staff, who seem to be from another time, checking on the incumbents in the wards. One patient heard the nurse tell him that he was going to be OK, but the oddest aspect is not the nurse vanishing - but the fact that the patient was deaf!
