Lincoln Cathedral

The Cathedral has experienced a number of hauntings over the years; praying monks have been seen walking in a procession in the cloisters, and a ghost seen here is supposed to be that of Robert Bloet, the second bishop of the Cathedral; a human head was seen rolling down the hill from the Cathedral (this may be the head that was once seen rolling down Drury Lane nearby); a female suicide victim from the 1960s has been claimed to recreate her leap from the tower; and the most famous spectre is that of a cleric from the 17th century walking up the Greestone Steps. On one occasion he was seen to disappear through a wall, and may be connected with a man who was hanged from a nearby archway. In this same area, a spectral nun has been seen carrying a baby from the convent before laying the infant down in an area that is now a flower bed. There are many other stories too!
