St Vincent's ChurchMain Street, Burton-by-Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincolnsire LN1 2RD 01522 931 076 There is a legend that on 24th April, St Mark's Eve, the spirits of those destined to die in the following year are to be seen here. A vigil in 1634 apparently confirmed this fact, where villagers were seen to enter the church and the "rattling of bones" and earth being flung was then heard. |
