Liverpool Arms

The spectres of a monk (whose appearance forewarns of death and misfortune), a female cook and a former landlord who drowned in the estuary and his son are said to haunt this place. Spectral smells are also claimed for this pub - the monk is accompanied by a smell of vanilla, while the cook is associated with the odour of roast beef!
