Eyam Church

The wife of Reverend Mompesson is buried here; Mompesson instigated a quarantine to prevent the plague infecting nearby villages in 1665 and his wife was one of those killed. She is sometimes seen walking between the church and the old rectory, pausing near an 8th century Celtic cross. The churchyard here also has other spectres, including a young girl who skips around and interacts with visiting children.
