The Old Crown Inn

Helen and her husband previously owned this pub. Helen told researcher Greg Hardman that an old lady who once lived there haunts the pub. Helen had also had personal experiences of the gas taps in the cellars being switched off mid flow and at one time she was in the cellar with her husband and a bucket was 'thrown' across the floor when neither of them were near it. The cook also told Helen that she had seen the old lady in the kitchen. One of the barmaids told Greg (28/5/26) that the ghost in the pub cellar is named "Linda" and while she had had no experiences herself she knew of other staff who have had experiences similar to Helen.
