Cannon Hall

The ghost of a lady, later identified as one of the last of the family to own the hall, Elizabeth Spencer-Stanhope, has been seen in the entrance hall, stairs and driveway. A member of staff felt someone tugging at her cheek in the Victorian Ballroom and also felt someone pulling on the other side of a door, preventing it from being opened. Doors slamming shut, with a loud bang, a chandelier rotating of its own accord, the smell of tobacco, a woman in a maid's outfit in the kitchen, voices and many, many other odd phenomena have been reported here too.
