North East Land, Sea and Air MuseumOld Washington Road, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear SR5 3HZ Footsteps with no cause have been heard in the main hanger area; these may be due to six RAF men who died in an accident; one of them, a Canadian Hurricane pilot named "George" is occasionally seen. There are also stories of the bottom half of a person seeing walking around the aircraft. People have heard singing, talking and playing the piano, and an old gramophone has been known to start by itself and stones have been thrown too. There are a number of spectres who have apparently followed "their" aircraft to the museum, including a spectre who pushed people near an air-sea rescue helicopter. Some of the ghosts are said to be "Wartime lovers, a man murdered by a jealous husband and a woman who was the victim of an accident." There is also a spectral alsatian dog too!
