The Old George Inn

A ghostly figure, sometimes described as "a greyish fog" has been seen seated in a chair in the "Charles I Room" - it is in this chair that the titular King sat and enjoyed a drink; this figure has also been seen standing by the bar, too and some have identified the figure as the late Monarch. In the bar area, footsteps and a ghostly man with a dog have been detected, too.

Update 5/1/20: When I emailed the pub asking if anything had been experienced recently, I received the following (rather strange) reply: "Myself and my fellow colleagues have been servants of The Old George Inn now for a number of years, working tirelessly in this brilliantly old home of wickedly pleasurable good times, where the atmosphere we strive so hard to produce is full of intrigue and temptation. Before now we have felt we should fulfil our responsibilities to protect the tales that these stone walls do tell, to keep the secrets that good, the bad, the powerful, and the poor and not forgetting the freakishly dangerous have armed themselves with for generations gone by. However a dawn is upon us. The spirit of The Old George has entrusted us, its guardians, with the quest of what the very King Charles 1st of his name set about. We, his modern army, have been entrusted with the teachings of Charles’ disciples, the bass men of years gone by. By day, the bass Ghosts dwell around our drinking den hiding in the shadows, but when the mist descends and darkness approaches, they start to play. Paul, we have been waiting for someone to approach us, we have had hoaxes before now, but maybe our time is now."
