His Majesty's Theatre

Stagehand John Murray is reputed to be one of the resident phantoms, seen wearing a brown coat; he was apparently killed by a hoist during a circus act. Footsteps, cold spots and objects being moved are also noted - on one occasion a member of staff had to ask "Jake" to stop when his paintbrush was repeatedly moved and the ghost obeyed. A bar maid ("The Grey Lady" identified as one Miss Mitchell) has also manifested in the foyer and bar area, and another spectre (a man in a top hat) has been seen in the Royal Box.
