Thainstone House Hotel

The daughter of a former owner of the house who was killed while riding haunts the building as "A Green Lady"; another version is that she was killed when the house was set alight during the Jacobite Uprising. Objects have moved by themselves, pets are said to be too scared to enter a bedroom, and one person walked through a misty person-sized shape that was no longer there when he turned round to look back.
